Shell guides

Many organizations maintain multiple knowledge bases.

Whether it's one KB for each brand they own or an external and internal one, there's usually some overlap in content. In that case it's efficient to reuse guides across knowledge bases. The best way to do that is with 'shell guides'.

Shell guides use automation and embedding steps to display contents of a parent guide and nothing else. This way, when the parent guide is updated, the update is applied to the shells as well.

A single parent guide can have as many shells as you want, published in any number of knowledge bases.

This tutorial will walk you through creating a shell guide.
